The goblin knows what it is at all times. It knows this because it knows what it isn't. By subtracting what it is from what it isn't, or what it isn't from what it is (whichever is more infuriating), it obtains a difference, or annoyance. The goblin uses annoyance to generate disruptive remarks to drive the goblin from a state of less goblin to one of more goblin, and a greater goblin that it wasn't, it now is.
Chat was, is, and always shall be - Goblins.
The natural habitats of goblins can be found here and here.
Previously, goblins were accidentally also called "Goblins".
Collective noun
The collective noun for a collection of goblins was previously though to be a "malignity", a "malignity of goblins". [1][2] however, on 18 October 2023 Our supreme leader Thor confirmed the correct collective noun to be "chat", as in "a chat of goblins"[3].[4]
